Gender + Sexuality Spectrum 2by ~theroyalus

A crudely hacked together "Version 2.0" of the Gender and Sexuality meme by !ADF-Fuensalida ... this version gives more options, but in the end I suspect that any system would be inadequate. I love the complexities and imagination of the human experience.

Edited To Add some explanations, since a lot of people are confused:

The original map used straight lines between options like Male/Female and Man/Woman. However, a lot of people identify as neither, or any of various other options. Here the lines have been turned into triangles with a blank third point where people have the option of writing in their preferred identification. And, of course, you can plot your point anywhere within the triangle, however you see fit.

A brief (and incomplete) explanation of Gender Identity vs. Gender Expression: many people appear to the outside world in a way that doesn't neccesarily match how they feel to themselves: for instance, "meterosexuals" have no problem identifying as strictly male yet feel free to express themselves in a way that the outside world would consider feminine. Also, some trans people in the closet make attempts to appear as their assigned gender.

The new map also gives options missing on the original, such as Asexual and Pansexual. Asexuals experience little or no sexual attraction, wheras pansexuals are attracted to all people regardless of gender and usually don't limit themselves to cisgendered (non-transgendered) people.

The new map also includes the category of "romantic attraction." For some people, sexual and romantic attraction don't match up; for instance, many asexuals experience urges to bond and fall in love. Some people enjoy sexual experiences with people of a physical sex they wouldn't fall in love with. And some people experience romantic urges towards people of genders they don't feel sexual attraction to.

Life is messy and complicated and wonderful, and when it comes to gender, sex, and love, YMMV. A lot. It has been awesome seeing how people have filled out this meme, and it seems to be really taking off lately.

Mind if I modify this and add some extra sections to it that would better convey the mix of genders and sexualities and mess that I am dealing with and aware of?

Had added in Mind Gender since I noticed my mind seemed to be a different gender than my personality/identity, and also spirit gender and soul energy as well.
